The Concept Behind the Artwork

“The Blind Run” is a powerful satirical piece that dismantles the traditional iconography of “cops and robbers,” fiercely reversing their roles. The State, shielded by its uniform and empowered by its position, openly mocks the community as it shamelessly escapes with the spoils.

Meanwhile, the citizen is trapped in a frantic, blinding chase. The brilliance of the composition lies in the fishing rod anchored to his back: the economic bait driving him forward is sustained by the citizen himself. The artwork thus becomes an existential paradox—a sharp critique of social blindness, but also a profound call to shift our perspective, stop running blindly, and reclaim control over our own destiny.
